Steve Miller
As the firm’s Managing Partner and Director, Steve Miller concentrates on government affairs and business strategies; land use, zoning, permitting, licensing, and administrative law at the federal, state, and municipal levels. With 50 years of experience, he has successfully represented numerous clients in all sectors of the alcoholic beverages and hospitality industries, including wholesalers, suppliers, retail, and restaurant licensees, before municipal, state, and federal authorities. Along with his partners, Steve has also entitled numerous large mixed-used development projects for client ventures in the cities of Boston, Somerville, and Cambridge.
Steve is a former Assistant Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, serving under then Attorney General Francis X. Bellotti, and a founder and prior owner-operator of several successful and well-known restaurants and entertainment facilities in the Boston area. He is also a current Board member and former vice president of the Massachusetts Restaurant Association (MRA), and an inductee of its Hall of Fame.
Steve has also spoken before numerous national industry conferences and served as the Chair of the Massachusetts Continued Legal Education’s Alcohol Licensing Seminar since 2006. Admitted to the practice of law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, he received a B.A. from Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts and J.D. from Boston College.
