Olive Chase
Olive Chase, President of The Casual Gourmet, is a dynamic leader with a proven history that showcases her strengths in strategic planning and leadership team building. She spearheaded amazing growth and transformed a small gourmet shop into Cape Cod's largest off-premise catering company. The Casual Gourmet started as a 1,000 square foot gourmet shop in 1986, and now operates a 30 seat café and bakery in Centerville. The bakery specializes in wedding cakes and includes as clients Sagamore Inn, Ocean Edge and Daniel Webster Inn, among others. Casual Gourmet is the largest off-premise catering company on Cape Cod, the preferred caterer for the Cape Cod Museum of Art, Wianno Yacht Club, Osterville Historic Museum, Chequasett Club, Bourne Farm, Historic Highfield Hall, and Nauticus Marina in Osterville, etc.
Prior to The Casual Gourmet, Olive was the General Manager of Hearth and Kettley Family Restaurants where she developed and implemented strategies to increase sales and profitability. She also drove year-over-year business growth while leading operations, strategic vision, and long-range planning. Olive was the General Manager of M.D. Armstrong Restaurant as well.
Olive is an experienced Board Chair with over 20 years of experience leading a variety of non-profit organizations on both local, statewide, and national level. These organizations include the Board of Directors of the Cape Code Chamber of Commerce, Caterers Committee and Board of Director of the Massachusetts Restaurant Association, and Vice President of Community Affairs, Hyannis Area Chamber of Commerce.
