After ten years of professional cooking and a growing love of tropical drinks, Justin Brody started experimenting with cocktails at home. He began his spirits and cocktail journey with blind spirits tastings at Deadshot in Portland, OR, and was a part of the opening team at Takibi, bartending under the legendary Jim Meehan. Justin then became the Head Bartender at The Port of Call in Mystic, CT, where he was named one of 2024's Best New Bartenders in the country by Punch Magazine. Since then, Justin has had cocktails published by Vinepair & Cognac Connection, Scrappy's Bitters and Punch Magazine, and has also been featured in Forbes Magazine and The Wall Street Journal. He also operates a popup called Overcast in Southern New England alongside his fiancé Jocelyn, where they serve eclectic cocktails and charcoal-grilled modern Portuguese food. Justin is currently bartending at The Eddy and hopes to open his own cocktail bar in Providence, RI sometime soon.
