Food Rescue US is dedicated to eliminating hunger, protecting the planet and creating community. Every $1 donated allows us to rescue and deliver the equivalent of 20 meals, and we operate in 51 locations across 25 states and the District of Columbia. This is made possible by over 32,000 volunteer food rescuers in the Food Rescue US community who directly transfer nutritious excess food, equivalent to more than 205 million meals, from food donors to social service agencies serving people experiencing food insecurity. Keeping food out of landfills has also reduced greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to climate change.
